Calling all gentleman sailors! This classic and historic early example was constructed in part from timbers from a wrecked tall ship. The planking is teak on celery top pine.

Designed and built by Ernie Digby with the distinctive apple bow that found it’s way into the popular Jubilee design.

Following a restoration at the fabled Wooden Boatshop at Sorrento the current owner brought her to Pittwater in ’06 and proceeded to further refurbish and to fine tune her into a genuine gentleman’s single hander.

The reliable diesel (a Yanmar YES8) has also been removed, reconditioned and replaced and is now maintained in Bristol condition.

Within 5 minutes of stepping aboard she can be rigged and sailing. Systems have been refined to allow for single handed reefing and also setting of the whisker pole.

Three Sixty Blue is a ?ne example of a limited number of Dolphin 460 catamarans designed by veteran naval architect Philippe Pouvreau and built to ABYC standards in Aracaju, Brazil.

Dolphins represent an excellent balance of safety, comfort, performance and styling. Their hulls are constructed of hand-laid, vacuum-bagged ?berglass using vinyl ester resin over Divinicell foam cores. The bottom of each hull is solid ?berglass so she can be beached without damage.

There are two water-tight compartments in each hull and the retractable dagger boards are trunked in crash boxes to prevent water incursion in the event of a hard grounding. The Sail Drives are protected by sacri?cial mini keels.

Dolphins feature graduated, ?ared hulls and extended transoms to handle cruising payloads. The retractable dagger boards aid in pointing, shoal draft sailing and reducing drag off the wind. Wide side decks enhance safety and the bulkhead helm station offers 360 degree, four corner visibility when docking or sailing.

The vertical salon windows help reduce cabin heat and also offer 360 degree visibility making piloting, with the use of an autopilot remote, possible from the comfort and safety of the cabin in inclement weather.

2014 Schionning Cosmos 1100 now for sale.

The Cosmos 1100 was one of the early success stories for renowned multihull designer Jeff Schionning and this 2014 model is a great example.

A great deal of thought went into the design and engineering of this particular boat.

Weight distribution being a key factor. All heavy items are centrally located including the battery bank, fridge/freezer, water tanks, anchor & chain locker all located adjacent to the main bulkhead supporting the mast.

The anchor is located under the catwalk with access hatches for bridle system, keeping the foredeck area clear for entertaining.

Ventilation was also important with 10 large opening deck hatches and 3 opening ports either side.

The Honda 4 strokes with high thrust props were chosen for their reliability and light weight and are fitted with blowers so are able to operate while fully enclosed in motor wells to reduce noise. They fully retract when not in use for better sailing performance.

She was set up for single handed sailing with all controls leading back to the cockpit.

The Main is fitted with bat cats to reduce friction for raising and lowering from the central winch station and the lazy jacks and boom bag make it simple and quick for lowering. Both headsail and screecher are fitted with furlers that also lead back to the cockpit.

Kick up rudders and dagger boards enable beaching if required.

The saloon design is the wider option in the Cosmos series to enable a large saloon seating area including a galley up that has lots of storage and bench space.
